Dès les premières pages, j'ai été séduite par le style de l'auteur et je suis rentrée dans l'histoire. Je crois qu'on peut dire que j'ai dévoré ce livre... J'ai eu énormément de mal à m'arrêter de le lire. Je voulais connaître le fin mot de l'histoire.
C'était ma première lecture du genre, et elle m'a donné envie de continuer dans le "Fantastique". Même si j'admets avoir eu peur, surtout quand je lisais de nuit. Le fait que ça soit un "livre pour ado" n'a rien changé de ce côté là.
Après, c'est sûr qu'au niveau des personnages, ils ont des préoccupations d'ados, et ne sont pas spécialement matures pour des gens en âge d'être à la fac. Parce que oui, l'histoire se déroule sur un campus universitaire, dans un vieux manoir... J'ai beaucoup aimé ça d'ailleurs, même si c'est vrai que c'est un contexte qui est réchauffé, vu et revu dans moults films d'horreurs américains.
Les personnages sont sympathiques, mais sans plus. On ne s'y attache pas vraiment. On est juste intrigués, on a envie d'en savoir plus à leur sujet. Ils sont un peu clichés, eux aussi. Nous avons donc: un sportif, 2 intellos, une bimbo et une "gothique". Mais l'histoire n'en reste pas moins intéressante et surprenante ! Je me suis laisser embarquer de bout en bout, et c'était vraiment très agréable !
Le "sujet de base" de l'histoire est déjà vu, lui aussi, mais l'approfondissement est original !
